News van stolen in a wave of car crime in Forest Town

Police are warning people in the Forest Town area to beware of car thieves after a newspaper delivery van was stolen from outside a newsagents this morning.

The blue Ford Transit van containing newspapers was stolen from outside Premier Newsagents on Clipstone Road West at 4.50am.

The theft came following a spate of car break ins in Forest Town over the weekend. The incident number is 000064-10112014.

Thieves broke into a car on Rosedale Way between 6pm Saturday 8th November and 7am Sunday 9th. Items stolen included a works headset, bag, sunglasses and other small items.

On Grizedale Rise, Forest Town a vehicle was broken into between 5.30pm on Saturday 8th November and 9.45am Sunday 9th November.

A hands free kit was stolen. Incident number: 000318.09112014.

A car was raided on Sanderling Way, Forest Town between 1am and 9am on Sunday 9th November. Items stolen include a satnav and cables.
