Motorcyclist dies following A38 crash

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on the A38 in Sutton yesterday (Monday 22nd July).

It happened at around 1.20pm on Alfreton Road when the blue Yamaha bike left the road and collided with a wall.

The man, 33-year-old Michael Reynolds from Sutton-, was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre in a critical condition. He subsequently died from his injuries.

The road was closed in both directions while the scene was cleared and police conducted their enquiries.

It re-opened just after 8pm.
