Mansfield town brawler before magistrates

A Sutton man has been given a 12-week suspended jail sentence after admitting three counts of assault and one of criminal damage.

Mansfield magistrates were told how Youseff Boulrbah (29), of Forest Road, was seen by witnesses kicking another male who was on the floor and not moving near Mansfield Market Place on 13th April.

Neil Hollett, prosecuting, said he was then seen kicking the rear of a vehicle just minutes later, causing £100 worth of damage.

Then, on 18th May while on police bail, Boulrbah was seen punching another male who had fallen to the floor during an exchange of blows in the early hours of the morning on Mansfield’s Church Street.

Probation officer Isabel Peach said Boulrbah accepted responsibility for his actions but had been goaded.

He was also given 120 hours’ unpaid work and ordered to pay costs of £170, compensation of £100 for the vehicle damage and £50 each to the victims of the first assault.
