Mansfield roads closed after park assault

The incident happened at about 10.20pm last night (Friday 6th) and involved a group of men, one of whom was knocked unconscious and taken to hospital.

He has since been discharged.

Two men, aged 20 and 24, were arrested and remain in custody pending further investigation.

A full search of the area and house to house enquiries are taking place.

The roads - St Peter’s Way, Portland Road and Bath Street - were closed for a time this morning while the investigations were taking place.
