Mansfield man Steven Frogg remanded in custody accused of attempted murder over stabbing of boy (4)

A MANSFIELD man, Steven Frogg (51), was remanded in custody by Mansfield magistrates on Wednesday morning accused of the attempted murder of a four-year-old boy on Easter Monday.

Frogg, of Frederick Street, spoke only to confirm his name and was remanded in custody to re-appear on 25th April at Nottingham Crown Court.

Frogg wore a white T-shirt and blue tracksuit bottoms and it was indicated that he will deny the charge of attempted murder.

The boy, who is currently recovering in Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, was found on Frederick Street suffering from stab wounds at around 1.30pm on Easter Monday.
