A Mansfield man has been charged with growing cannabis plants with a street value estimated at up to £70,000.
Daniel David Draycott, 29 of Gedling Street, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, charged with producing a quantity of the class B drug at an address in the town.
Magistrates heard police searched the house on April 11 last year.
They allegedly found two growing areas with a plants which they said could have produced cannabis with a street value of between £15-78,000.
Draycott made no plea and was committed to appear at Nottingham Crown Court, on March 19.
If found guilty he could face a sentence of more than four years in prison.
