Man sustained head injuries

Nottinghamshire Police was called to the car park of National Tyres, in Chesterfield Road South at about 1.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 24th June) after a man was found to have sustained serious head injuries.

The victim’s car was stolen in the incident and police are seeking to trace a light coloured BMW saloon, registration DV06 VCW, which was driven off towards the town centre.

The victim was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre and remains in intensive care.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or saw the car as it left the car park.

They would also like to speak to a white man with a shaved head, wearing shorts, who was outside the building at the time of the theft.
