Man’s decisive action for loved games console

A Forest Town man could be facing a community order after admitting smashing a window at the home of his estranged partner to retrieve his Playstation.

Mansfield magistrates were told how Zac Jenkins (26), of Garibaldi Road, had phoned Nottingham Community Housing before-hand, informing them of his to decision gain access.

Ruth Snodin, prosecuting, said: “The estates manager said he should not force entry but should liase with the organisation instead.

“But later that day she received an email from maintenance to say the window had been smashed and boarded up at a cost of £66.”

Sarah Neale, defending, said Jenkins had contacted the police to take advice and had believed his partner was unlawfully in possession of his Playstation 4.

She added: “He tells me he called the police afterwards to tell them he had been in and the house needed to be secured.

“He has assisted police with their inquiries and Mr Jenkins tells me he has recently begun working at a chicken farm.”

Jenkins was bailed unconditionally for sentencing at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on 10th December.
