A man has been convicted of breaking into the old Chad office on Newgate Lane and to steal electrical cabling.

Richard Thomas Raymond Lambert (27) of Sandy Lane, Mansfield, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court where he admitted the charge.

He was given 18-weeks jail, suspended for 12 months and told to pay an £80 surcharge.

The building has been empty since last August when Chad moved to Sherwood Oaks Business Park.
