Man arrested after female ‘seriously injured’ in early morning attack
A Mansfield Woodhouse woman has been left with serious injuries after she was attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police were called to the address in Felton Street at around 3am to reports of a serious assault. It is understood that the female victim was assaulted by a 25-year-old male who was inside her home when she returned from a night out. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
“The female victim was treated in hospital for injuries which are serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.”
