A LANGWITH woman was caught with four wraps of heroin after police stopped and searched a car.
Officers had been tipped off that the occupants of the vehicle may have drugs, Chesterfield magistrates were told last Wednesday.
A small box in Caroline Green’s handbag contained foil wraps of heroin worth about £30.
Helen Griffiths, prosecuting, said: “Miniature scales were found and she said they were to weigh the drugs because she didn’t trust the person selling it.”
Green (28) of Jellicoe Street, Langwith, admitted possessing heroin on 11th July. The bench adjourned sentence for probation service reports.
“She is on a methadone programme but at times she uses heroin. She has an appointment with the drug advisory service,” said Kevin Tomlinson, for Green.
He told the court she lived alone and her children from a previous relationship lived with their father.
