A teenager facing a charge of violence is to have his case heard at crown court.

Caleb Yemm of Vernon Road, Kirkby, is accused of unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily
harm to another male on 12th July.

The 18-year-old appeared before Mansfield Magistrates’ Court but did not enter a
plea.

He only spoke to confirm his name, age and address.

The Crown Prosecution Service said that the charge was an indictable offence, meaning it could only be heard before a crown
court.

No further details of the case were outlined during the brief hearing.

He is now due to appear before Nottingham Crown Court on 14th January.
