Kirkby teen assaulted by gang of youths

POLICE are trying to trace four youths or men who assaulted and attempted to rob a 13-year-old boy in Kirkby.

The incident took place in Station Street, close to the Aldi supermarket, at around 9pm on 16th November.

The victim was walking away from the town centre towards his home when he was approached from behind, close to the bus stop outside the supermarket.

The youths demanded money and when the victim replied that he did not have any, he was punched in the face and suffered minor injuries.

All four were wearing hooded clothing and had scarves covering their faces.

The offender who assaulted the boy is described as white and about 5ft 4ins tall.

He wore black tracksuit bottoms with grey colouring on the sides, a black hooded top, a grey scarf and black gloves.
