A Kirkby police officer has been cleared of three counts of sexual misconduct.

Chris Young was suspended from Nottinghamshire Police and charged with seven counts of engaging with relationships of women through his role as a police officer.

But the jury is yet to make a decision on the other four counts.

He was cleared of flicking open a woman’s bra and touching another woman’s breast, as well as being found not guilty of a case in which he was alleged to have had ‘sexual activity’ with a woman over a number of years.

Young has faced trial at Derby Crown Court over the past three weeks.
