A reveller who smashed a taxi window following a drunken argument was ordered to pay out £300 compensation.
Jamie Gillott (33) of Woodland Grove, Mansfield Woodhouse, admitted smashing the window after sharing the cab with strangers.
Appearing at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court, he was not represented but explained he became angry when the other people in the taxi had reused to pay the driver.
It happened at around 4.45am on 29th March, and Gillott told the judge that his actions were ‘regrettable’ and was in drink.
He was made to pay the compensation to the driver, as well as £85 costs to the court.
