Police are appealing for help identifying these three people after an elderly woman’s savings were stolen.

The 80-year-old woman had her purse stolen while shopping at the Sainsbury’s store on Nottingham Road, Mansfield, around 1pm on Monday 15th September.

Money was taken from her savings accounts and expensive electrical items were purchased from shops in Chesterfield.

Police would speak to the three people, two men and a woman, pictured in connection with the theft.

Police described them all as white. The woman pictured is about 40-50-year-old, of a chunky build, fair hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and beige trousers.

One of the men is wearing a blue top, jeans and a white cap. The second is wearing a green and brown striped jumper, blue jeans and a dark blue cap.

Police said they left the area in a dark grey Toyota Yaris which has a distinctive chequered pattern on the bonnet and rear boot lid.

If you have any information about the trio or recognise the car, contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
