DERBYSHIRE Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a 58-year-old South Normanton man who has been missing for two weeks.

David Marshall left his home in the village at 1.45pm on 9th November in his car - a blue Renault Megane Scenic, saying he was going to work in Somercotes.

He failed to arrive at work and did not return home later but his car was found abandoned with keys in the ignition in a lay-by on the road between Belper and Alderwasley on the morning of 15th November.

Mr Marshall is white, 6ft 1in tall, of medium build, with short straight brown hair.

He has a short beard, wears glasses and was dressed in his work clothes, a dark blue jumper and trousers with the NHS logo on them.

Officers have conducted a search of the area around where his car was found and are continuing their enquiries.

Anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle in the Belper/Shottle area or has knowledge of David’s current whereabouts, should contact the police on the new non-emergency number 101 and quote incident number 147 15/11/11.
