Two men and one woman have been sentenced by the courts for selling counterfeit DVDs.
In April 2010, Derbyshire police and Trading Standards carried out a joint operation to target Andrew Porter, a suspected DVD counterfeiter from Shirebrook.
During the investigation £2979 was forfeited, 25,000 cigarettes were seized along with a Ford transit van, computer equipment and hundreds of DVDs.
In February Porter (44), of Shirebrook, was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months.
Kathleen Hood (41), of Shirebrook, received a community order for 12 months and is to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. and Leslie Truman (54), of Mansfield. has been issued with a four month curfew between 7pm to 7am.
