Copper snatched from Mansfield wind farm

Thieves have stolen £50,000 worth of copper cabling from a wind farm on the Mansfield/Rainworth border.

The incident is believed to have taken place at about 9pm on Monday 12th December at Lindhurst Wind Farm.

Entry was gained through the padlocked door of one of the wind turbines and 150 metres of copper earth cabling stolen.

Scrap metal dealers in the area are being asked to be on the look out for such cabling. Anyone attempting to sell it should be report to police immediately.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the perpetrators or the whereabouts of the stolen material is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
