Charity box stolen from Shirebrook farm

BURGLARS swiped a green charity box and till after breaking into a farm in Shirebrook last Thursday.

The thieves damaged a wooden door and internal gate at Willow Tree Farm on Langwith Road at around 3.41am.

The farm is run as a charity and manager Emma Darby said she was disappointed that thieves would target the premises.

“It is horrible and quite shocking really and is a real inconvenience for us as we will have to repair the door now,” she said.

“We need CCTV cameras but we just do not have the money but would urge anyone with information to report it to the police immediately.”

The alarm in the farm cafe was triggered when the intruders broke in and now police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
