Bomb hoax - Mansfield man charged

A 20-year-old man has been charged following a bomb hoax at the weekend, Nottinghamshire Police have revealed.

Joshua Williams, of Newark Close, Mansfield, made the 999 call to claim there was a bomb at a Nottinghamshire police station, triggering a county-wide alert.

The incident happened at around 10.15pm on Saturday (9th August), a police spokesman said.

He was arrested the following day and will appear before Mansfield Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
