TWO Bolsover men are behind bars at Christmas after being caught breaking their night curfews.

The curfews were bail conditions imposed on Ryan Tatum and Matthew Gibbons following an alleged burglary.

The pair are accused of entering an outhouse in Bolsover on 14th November and stealing two bikes worth £480.

Both defendants have denied the burglary.

They appeared before Chesterfield magistrates in police custody on Wednesday and admitted breaching their curfews.

Tatum (22), of Moorfield Square, Bolsover, was not wearing an electronic tagging device on 17th December and, the next night, he was out for a time when he should have been indoors.

Gibbons (24), of Springfield Crescent, Bolsover, breached his curfew on 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th December by not being at home within the prescribed 7pm- 7am times.

An application for bail was refused by the justices and the pair were remanded in prison custody until Friday 28th December.

A trial has been arranged for 14th January regarding the alleged burglary.
