Arsonists blamed for garage fire
Arsonists are being blamed for a fire in Pinxton last night (25th June) which destroyed a garage and a saloon car.
Firefighters from Alfreton attended the blaze at the detached garage in Widmerpool Street at around 11.10pm which crews described as ‘well alight’.
A Saloon vehicle was discovered inside the blazing building, which crews had to get outside to fully extinguish the fire.
A Derbyshire Fire Service spokesman said: “Police also attended the scene because the fire is believed to have been caused by malicious ignition.”
