Arrests after Sutton stabbing

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an attack in Sutton.

A 31-year-old occupant of a flat in Westbourne Road was beaten and stabbed at around 9pm on Wednesday, 14th May.

His attackers fled in the direction of Carsic Road.

He was taken to King’s Mill Hospital with serious injuries before being transferred to a hospital in Derbyshire for further treatment. He has now been discharged.

The suspects, aged 26 and 23, were arrested in Clipstone yesterday, Wednesday 21st May.

A 26-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All remain in police custody for questioning this morning.
