Appeal for witnesses after retired policeman dies at Ollerton

A 70-year-old man has died after his car left the road and collided with a wall at New Ollerton.

Roy Gregory, a former Nottinghamshire Police officer who retired in 1990, was driving a green Peugeot when the incident happened in Yew Tree Close at about 1.30pm on Thursday.

Mr Gregory, from New Ollerton, was taken to King’s Mill Hospital, where he died later that evening.

No-one else was injured in the incident.

Witnesses are asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 381 of Thursday 27th December.
