Police in Alfreton are investigating an attempted burglary where the victim interrupted the offender in her garden.
At around 7.30am on Friday, 26th October a 62-year-old woman disturbed a man in the garden of her home on Beech Avenue.
The victim confronted the offender who claimed to be doing community service before running off.
The offender had broken into the victim’s shed and removed a strimmer and other items and placed them in a wheelbarrow but they were left behind when he was confronted.
The offender is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall, in his 20s, of slim build and wearing a red all in one suit with a sleeveless high-visibility jacket over the top.
