A school rolled out the red carpet recently as it premiered its summer production on the big screen.
Rather than invite family members to watch Holly Primary School’s ‘Alice- The Musical’ production on stage, it was filmed by a professional film crew, then screened several times at the Odeon in Mansfield to almost 900 people.
A take on the classic Alice in Wonderland story, it was performed by all of the pupils and set around the Forest Town school.
Director Colin Howard came up with the idea, saying: “The whole idea was to show it at the cinema, we thought it would be something different.
“The Odeon were brilliant in letting us use their screen.
“We’ve done this now so next year we’ll do something even bigger and better!”
