Students at Farmilo Primary School in Pleasley have received first aid skills free of charge thanks to St John Ambulance fundraising.
Pleasley St John Ambulance raised £400 and put the money towards first aid training for all year five and six pupils at the primary school.
St John Ambulance trainers Helen Lee and Darren Allcock delivered the ‘first aid in a Day’ course on Tuesday 1st July.
Pupils learnt essential first aid techniques including the recovery position, how to deal with an unconscious casualty, making an emergency call, bleeding, burns, poisons, asthma and choking.
Teacher Rebecca Daysh said: ‘Our children will benefit hugely from this training.”
