Paralympic equestrian medallist Sophie Wells paid a visit to Kingsway Primary School in Kirkby where pupils had the chance to interview her about her outstanding achievements.

Sophie, who won a team gold medal and two individual silver medals in Dressage at the London 2012 Paralympic games, was grilled by Year 6 children who were keen to test their interviewing skills.

Sophie, who has amniotic band syndrome - which caused her to lose some fingers along with the movement and feeling in her feet and nerve damage in her lower legs, spent time talking with the children and sharing some of her life experiences.

Kingsway has recently been awarded the Stephen Lawrence Award in recognition of its work on diversity and respect of others, regardless of background.
