Council cash for Ashfield groups

community groups which arrange activities for children and young people can benefit from a small grant through Ashfield District Council.

Local groups have already been benefitting from the grants with the funded children’s activities taking place throughout the summer, including:

Ashfield Play Forum at Sutton was awarded £250 towards the provision ofa play event for children on Sutton Lawn in July. The event has been rescheduled for the autumn half term in October.

Takeover Radio based in Sutton has been awarded £250 to buy mobile broadcasting equipment so that young people are able to provide coverage at local events.

Huthwaite Community Action Group was awarded £250 for play events in Brierley Park.
