Concerns over missing Jacksdale pensioner

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who went missing from his home last night (21st June).

Peter Burns-Smith (70) was last seen leaving his home in Providence Road, Jacksdale, at around 6pm.

He is described as white, 5ft 7 inches tall with short grey hair and of medium build, he wears dark rimmed glasses.

The pensioner was last seen wearing blue jeans with a grey coat and a bright blue and yellow high visibility jacket over the top. He had with him waterproof trousers, which he may now be wearing.

Mr Burns-Smith uses a walking stick but it is not believed that he has it with him, he therefore may be unsteady on his feet.

He is on medication and it is not believed that he has it with him.

Mr Burns-Smith often spends time in the Main Road area of Jacksdale or the park. He is sometimes known to shelter in sheds and officers would request that people in the local area, who have a shed, look in it for Mr Burns-Smith.
