St Alban’s Church

Sunday’s communion service was led by priest in charge the Rev Philip Stead, sidepersons were Rhona Wallhead and Pat Chapman and Teresa Pearson presented the prayer tree. Sonia Granger and Maureen Mawer read from the Bible. Sally Stafford led prayers of intercession. Megan Tansley, Dorothy Colman and Derek Naylor presented the offertory. Rhona Wallhead administered the chalice and Denise Levy played the organ. Refreshments were served by Sue Waldram Glenniss Kerry and Derek Naylor, the computer was operated by Brian Negus and the sound system by Teresa Pearson.

Methodist Church

Wednesday evening’s prayer meeting was led by Ms L. Cooper. On Friday the youth cafe was held at the church. On Saturday the coffee morning raised £124 for the Albania and Uganda projects and church funds. Sunday preacher for the morning service was Mr P. Holmes. Mrs M. House, Mrs R. Scott and Mrs J. Staley led the chorus singing. Mr M. Rendell gave out notices. The organist was Mr D. Walters. Teas were served by Mrs J. Staley.
