St Alban’s Church

Communion service was led by the priest in charge the Rev Philip Stead, sidepersons were Sheila Oliver and Rhona Wallhead. Janet Taylor presented the prayer tree. Kathy Smith and Brian Negus read from the Bible. Maureen Mawer led prayers of intercession. David Sharratt David Coulton presented the offertory. Pam Negus administered the chalice. Denise Levy played the organ and Brian Negus operated the computer and Teresa Pearson the sound system. Refreshments were served by Brian and Pam Negus and Derek Naylor. The summer fair raised £462.

Methodist Church

On Tuesday the Community Cafe was manned by volunteers. On Wednesday evening the prayer meeting was led by Mr E. Staley. On Friday the youth cafe was open during the evening. Sunday’s morning service was led by the Rev Ann Anderson and Holy Communion was observed. Mr E. Staley assisted the Rev Anderson. Choruses were led by Mrs M. House, Mrs J. Staley and Mrs K. Dixon. Readings were given by Mr and Mrs E. Staley. Mrs K. Dixon took Sunday School. Teas were served by Mrs J. Staley. Organist was Mrs E. Levick.
