St Alban’s Church

Sunday’s communion service was led by the Rev Philip Stead. Sidepersons were Louis Bowmer and Hanne Reale Harry Salter and Jack Weatherer presented the prayer tree and Sue Waldram read from the Bible. Sonia Granger led prayers of intercession and Marie Wilkinson Sue Crooks and Glennise Kerry presented the offertory. Rhona Wallhead administered the chalice and Denise Levy played the organ. Refreshments were served by Pat Chapman and Derek Naylor. Alan Wallhead operated the computer and Teresa Pearson the sound system. Ella Rose Salter Bobby Max Salter and Shanelle Lizette Parkin were baptised.

Methodist Church

On Tuesday the Trinity Community Cafe was manned by volunteers. On Wednesday evening a prayer meeting was led by Mr E. Staley. The Sunday morning service was led by Mrs J. Staley, Mrs M. House and Mrs R. Scott, with chorus singing. The preacher was Mr John Adamson. Mrs M. House gave a reading. Prayers were given by Mrs K. Dixon and Mrs M. House. Notices were given out by Mr M. Rendell and music was played by Ms L. Copper and Mrs E. Levick.
