The church house group meetings resumed on Wednesday with Margaret Tait hosting. The morning service on Sunday was led by Sally Jones with music played by Madeline Allington. There were readings from Dorothy and Alan Tighe. Later church members visited Blidworth Methodists for their evening section service.
Tuesday’s meeting of the Fellowship group at St Michael’s was led by Bette Spademan who spoke on ‘Shepherds and sheep’.
There were 24 members, two guests and a speaker. Enid Cresswell reported on the Autumn Council meeting. President Pat Smedley welcomed speaker John Clarke, whose subject was Basford. Members were shown a variety of slides of all of the places mentioned which gave a good flavour of Basford. The December meeting is on 6th at 7 .30pm in the Lower Hall. It is the Christmas Party when everyone shares a ’Faith Supper’ and donate items to two local charities.
