ST ANDREW’S Church: Holy Communion service was led by the Rev Margaret Groves assisted by the Vicar the Rev Richard Seymour- Whiteley who did the sermon. Readings were by Robert Brown and Michael Beaumont. Organist was John White. Refreshments were served by Malcolm Goodall.

WOMAN’S Institute: President Mrs Heather Brown welcomed members to the meeting, held Tuesday evening in the Cator Hall. Speaker Don Sharp and Mr Mitchell from Hearing Dogs were introduced, and spoke and gave a slide show about the charities own dogs, and what hearing dogs do. The dogs cost £45.000 a year to train. Raffle winner was Jackie Keeble. Winner of the monthly competition for an animal photo was Linda Goldby. Minutes were read by Pat Endean-Rowe and Correspondence Brenda Milward. Refreshments were served by Margaret Berryman, Angela Holding and Margaret Coupland.

OAKRING Club: Chairman Mrs Mary stokes welcomed members to the meeting held Tuesday week in the Cator Hall. Bingo was played; callers were Mary Stokes and Edna Wright. Refreshments were served by hostess Janet Cobb.
