Women’s Institute

President Heather Brown welcomed members to Tuesday week’s meeting in the Cator Hall. Speaker Mike Gough was introduced and gave a talk on crime prevention and hints on how to secure your property. A vote of thanks was given by Pat Peach, and correspondence was read by Marie Worley. Minutes were read by Pat Endine-Rowe. Winner of the raffle was Angela Holdings who also won the monthly competition.

Oakring Club

Chairman Mary Stokes welcomed members to Tuesday week’s meeting in the Cator Hall. Bingo was played, callers were Edna Wright and Mary Stokes. Refreshments were served by hostess Janet Cobb.

St Andrew’s Church

Holy Communion service Sunday week was led by the Vicar the Rev Richard Seymour-Whiteley, who led the sermon and did prayers. Readings were by Nigel Spraggins and Robert Brown. Refreshments were served by Sue Wilson.
