St Andrew’s

Morning Prayer took place on Monday and Wednesday mornings with Holy Communion, On Wednesday Vestry hour was ledby Angela Penny.

St Mary’s Church

Bell ringing took place at the church on Thursday evening. On Sunday morning the Rev Clare Tyack led the morning service and gave the sermon. There were Old Testament readings from Karen Meikle and readings from the New Testament were from Angela Penny. Robin Sharpe read from the Gospel and prayers were led by Pam Lavarack.

Methodist Church

Saturday evening’s Fish and Chip walk was successful in attracting a number of walkers who enjoyed fish and chips afterwards at the church. Sunday morning’s ‘All age worship’ service was led by the Rev David Greenwood. There were readings from Barbara Jukes and the music was played by Vanessa Crane. Flowers decorating the church were donated by Mrs Julie Moyse and the door steward was Ann Daines.

Walking Group

Members walked the Tissington Trail and Dove Dale, the six-mile walk was completed by 15 walkers. Linda Elliott, Simon Kemp, Anne Cottam, Simone Hoy, Pushpa Patel and Dipa Patel all climbed Thorpe Cloud Hill, standing at 925 feet. The other half of the group had a picnic at the Stepping Stones in Dove Dale. For more information leave a message for Linda on 07703631816.
