ANNESLEY

All Saints’ Church

On Tuesday afternoon Open Door members met. On Wednesday afternoon the church was open for visitors. Friday’s Rummage Sale was for church Funds. Saturday members held a cake stall at the Acacia Avenue Fun Day, proceeds for funds. The Sunday morning Family Service was led by the Rev Kevin Charles, lesson reader was Molly Clay. The Rev Liz Turner-Loisel baptised Francesca Cook and Jessica-May Braddow, birthday chorus was sung and Ann Sturgess gave out cards, children played instruments, coloured pictures and played a game, Music Group accompanied songs, refreshments were served by the ladies.

Forest Road Meths

Thursday’s ‘Time for Prayer’ was followed by Movement to Music arranged by Jennifer Redfern. Sunday morning worship was led by Mrs Kelly Cater. Steward for the day was.Derrick Parker, door s teward Peter Frogson. Flowers were given by Sue and Neil Machin. The offering was taken by Jennifer Redfern and Jean Harrell. Readers were Jean Harrell and John Saint. The young people were supervised by Ellen Tait. Coffee s was erved by Marian, Peter and Beryl. Pianist was Kathleen McCallum. The evening s ervice was led by Mrs.Jo Makins. Door steward was Colin Marriott. Readers were Margaret and Harold Johnson. Organist was Doreen Dickens.

KIRKBY WDHS

St John’s Church

On Saturday there was a social evening at the Vicarage. The Rev Mary Essex prepared food and visitors took poems to read, some written by people known to them. The Sunday Holy Communion service was led by the Rev Essex, sidespersons were Kath and Jack Buxton. Readers were Terry Summers and Elaine Moulton. The Rev Essex read the Gospel and delivered the sermon. Prayers were by Daphne Cantrill. Evening Worship was led by the Rev Essex, who also led the prayers, gave a sermon and led a discussion. Readers were Daphne Cantrill and Terry Summers.
