All Saints’ Annesley
Tuesday afternoon Open Door had a sing-along with Audrey Godber on piano; in the evening the Rev Liz Turner-Loisel led a PCC meeting on Proposals for 2020. In Wednesday afternoon the church was open for visitors and Mothers’ Union members met with service led by Diane Smeed and guest speaker David Colton subject was “Hymns Ancient”.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning the church was open for Heritage Open Day, refreshments were served and tours of the tower were made. Choir sang at a wedding on Saturday afternoon.
In Sunday morning Sung Eucharist was led by the Rev Kevin Charles, crucifer was Graham leaver, lesson readers were Margaret Callister and Hilary Broughton, prayers were by Rosemary Shatliffe, sidespeople and sacraments were by Gloria and John Longdon, chalice was administered by Sue Charles and Barbara Harvey. Birthday greetings were sung to Trevor Denman and anniversary greetings sung to Sue and Rev Kevin Charles, Barbara and Peter Harvey, and Pat and Brian Staton, organist was Peter Hart, refreshments served by the ladies.
Newstead Village
Wednesday morning Holy Communion was led by the Rev Liz Turner-Loisel. Sunday Evening Worship was led by the Rev Kevin Charles, lesson reader was Matthew Ward, birthday greetings were sung to Trevor Denman, Music Group accompanied songs.
