Comedy club at the library

COMIC Rob Rouse is among the big names lined up to perform as part of a new comedy club at the refurbished Mansfield Library.

Rob’s TV credits included 8 Out of 10 Cats, Celebrity Juice, The Friday Night Project and he is a veteran of several critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival shows. Also appearing is policeman Alfie Moore, who is due to embark on his first solo national theatre tour later this year

Alfie is an original and distinctive comedian with his niche area as a serving police sergeant.

After arriving slightly late on the comedy scene, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his 18 years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival.

Joining them is Nick Parry, a wonderful wordsmith who won the Ribticklers Comedy Award at Worksop Library last year in his first ever gig.

The ‘Him Off The Telly’ comedy club starts 8pm on 14th March with doors opening at 7pm.

l Tickets are £8 and £6 for concessions. For information contact Mansfield 651337.
