Church sale appeal

AN Alfreton church is appealing for goods to sell at its latest fundraiser.

A Giant Autumn Sale is to be held at Alfreton Wesley Church in Ellesmere Avenue, on Saturday, 6th October.

The church would be glad to receive any sellable items, ranging from household and fancy goods, toiletries, clothes and toys to china and glassware, books, games and small furniture items.

Items can be taken to the church on the previous evening between 6pm and 7pm or collection arranged, where possible, by ringing 01773 833627.

Church steward David Hopkinson said: “We would be glad to receive any items, with the exception of electrical goods, alcohol and furniture without a fire certificate.

“We hope once again to raise a bumper sum.”

The church recently completed an £18,000 scheme to make the premises more disabled friendly.
