CHILDLINE is appealing for 40 volunteers in Nottinghamshire to help it deliver its new schools service.
ChildLine has already visited 30 schools in the county, but needs to visit all 381 primary schools by 2016.
Emma Grishin, ChildLine Schools Service Area Co-ordinator for Nottinghamshire, said: “If we are really serious about stopping child abuse we need to reach children when they are younger.
Local volunteers visited St Peter’s Church of England Primary School in Mansfield earlier this year. Mrs Pearl Day, headteacher, said: “ChildLine dealt with sensitive issues in a very child friendly and appropriate way.”
