ASHFIELD folk are invited to a fundraising event at Kirkby’s Festival Hall on 15th October.
The family disco and party night has been organised by father and son team Andy and Dan Collins, who run Venus Sound, and will take place between 7.30pm and midnight.
It has been organised for Kirkby youngster Jacob Brentnall who suffers from sanfilippo syndrome, which is a rare disorder of the brain and nervous system that will eventually lead to severe disability and mental impairment.

There will be a selection of music spanning the decades from the 1960s to the present day - and will include soul, Motown and party sounds.
Organisers say there will also be a raffle with a host of prizes, and all the money raised will go to Jacob’s Fund - which aims to improve the youngster’s quality of life.
