Car dealer donates cash to King's Mill

The parent and family project at King's Mill Hospital has received a funding boost after a local car retailer donated £2,000 towards the cause.

As its nominated charity, Vauxhall retailer Pentagon Mansfield has undertaken a number of fundraising activities over the course of the year to help support King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton.

The cheque for £2,000 is one of several donations that the Vauxhall retailer has already made, with more scheduled to take place later in the year.

The donations will go towards the much needed refurbishment of the parent and family room on the hospital’s children’s ward, which offers a range of vital services and treatments for local children and teenagers.

Sarah Limb, ward leader at King’s Mill, said: “Thank you so much to everyone at Pentagon Mansfield for this extremely generous contribution.

“The team here does some fantastic work and the parent and family room is a hugely important part of the children’s ward.

“However, we really do rely on donations to be able to improve services and facilities.”

In addition to contributions from staff and customers alike, the retailer has also hosted family fun days and special events, all of which have led to raising such a substantial amount of money.

Hollie Ward, franchise support manager at Pentagon, said: “We’d like to thank our team members and customers for their ongoing support and generosity.

“The money raised will make a huge difference in transforming the parent and family room at the hospital.

“We’re over the moon that we can continue to offer support to the hospital in this way.
