POLICE have uncovered nearly £300,000 worth of cannabis from a Sutton home.
Two Vietnamese men have been charged and remanded into custody following the discovery in the early hours of 12th June.
Officers found 347 cannabis plants inside a house in Silk Street at around 12.40am after receiving information that drugs were being produced at the property.
The Class B drugs, which will now be destroyed, are estimated to have a street value of up to £270,000.
The plants were found in the cellar and filled the bedrooms upstairs. Harvested cannabis was also discovered in the attic.
Tureyen Tran (41) and Luan Quang Luu (39), both of no fixed address, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday) charged with production of cannabis.
They were remanded and will appear before the court again on Wednesday 11th July.
