PRETTY hopefuls still have time to begin their campaign to be crowned Miss Mansfield and follow in the footsteps of teen queen, Alicia Caley.
The 18-year-old was last year’s winner and took to the stage again recently for the Miss England finals in Birmingham.
And the young beauty put in a proud performance against the other 58 competitors, making it to the final 17 based on the judges’ scores.
The gruelling event took place over four days, but Alicia was happy with her performance.
She said: “I was so happy with it because it was the first time I’ve done it and I was one of the youngest in the competition.
“Most of the girls had help from a modelling agency to get them through and although I had great support I didn’t have that type of backing.
“It was a complete learning curve for me.
“It was absolutely exhausting , we were up at 6.30am every day , but it was fun at the same time.”
She now hopes she can take part again before she reaches 24- the cut-off age.
