Twelve redundancies as Sutton firm goes into administration
TWELVE people have been made redundant after a Sutton-based manufacturing company went into administration earlier this month.
Europalite Ltd, based at Millward House on Eastfield Side in Sutton, was placed into administration on 2nd October.
It had a turnover in excess of £1 million and manufactured road and construction safety equipment such as signs and barriers.
Eddie Kerr and Ian Schofield, of PKF Accountants and business advisers, have been appointed as joint administrators of Europalite.
The business ceased trade upon being placed into administration and all 12 staff were made redundant.
Eddie Kerr, partner at PKF, said: “It is never pleasant to see a long standing local business close down.
“We do not believe that it will be possible to find a buyer for Europalite as a going concern and so are instead inviting offers for the company’s assets.
“We have already commenced discussions with a number of interested parties in this regard.”
Europalite’s website has been taken offline.
