Meet the sponsors
Ron Brooks (Mansfield) Ltd
This will be the fourth year in succession that the Toyota dealership has supported the prestigious event.
Unusually in these days of multinational car dealerships, Ron Brooks remains a family firm, continually committed to meeting the needs of the most demanding of motorists.
Since the late Ron Brooks established the business in 1962, Ron Brooks Limited is proud to be recognised as one of the longest established Toyota Centres in the UK and the only independent, family controlled, centre operating in both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Roy Munson said: “Ron Brooks employs rigorous recycling and energy reduction programmes as part of their environmental policy and is delighted to be sponsoring the 2020 ‘Business Commitment to the Environment’ award.”
West Nottinghamshire College
West Nottinghamshire College is a dynamic learning environment for aspiring communities and is proud to be the sponsor of the 2020 Business of the Year Award 2012.
The college has been placed within the top 10 per cent of all colleges nationally for results for the last four years. In 2008 the college celebrated an outstanding Ofsted result and in January 2009 were awarded Beacon College status, as well as a star rating in the prestigious Best Companies scheme.
Director at Vision Apprentices, Sandra Cowley, said: “It is important for local business to receive acclaim for their entrepreneurialism and contribution to the local economy and the college is honoured to be able to acknowledge and support business at the 2020 awards.”
Hopkins Solicitors are a Nottinghamshire based law firm and offer advice to individuals, families and businesses. They’ve been established in the local area since 1913 and are one of the original members of Mansfield 2020.
This is the third year Hopkins have sponsored the awards and their second year as associate sponsors.
Hopkins believe sponsoring the awards is a great way of increasing awareness of their firm to the local business community.
The Mansfield Building Society
The Mansfield can trace its history back 140 years. It formed as a mutual and still works for the exclusive benefit of its members. The Mansfield Building Society, as a mutual, is run for the benefit of its members.
There are no shareholders and no dividends. This ensures that profits are re-invested in the Society and gives customers competitive rates. Mutual’s are recognised as offering savers a strong guarantee and safe haven from fluctuations in the market.
Sales and Marketing Manager, Mike Taylor, said: “The Mansfield Building Society is delighted to be an associate sponsor of the 2020 business awards on 2012. The awards have rapidly become an established date in the local business calendar and provide local businesses with the perfect opportunity to attract high profile recognition for their products and services.”
