A new showcase event is taking place in Mansfield to support businesses within the area.
Founded by a partnership between Mansfield BID, Mansfield 2020, A Star Media and Mansfield District Council, the Be, See and Do Business event will provide a platform for all the key services available in Mansfield and host them in the town centre on the market square for one day.
On the 29th May, the town centre will be the hub for organisations and bodies that can help any group be, see and do business in Mansfield.
Mansfield 2020 and Mansfield BID offered exclusively to their members the opportunity exhibit at the event completely free in the attempt encourage and showcase the calibre of businesses operating in Mansfield and demonstrate the inter-trading opportunities available.
Mansfield 2020’s Caroline Cox said : “Since inception we have always driving the key message ‘buy local first’.
“This event is an opportunity to showcase all the professional services available locally and will cater for the needs of businesses with the desire to do, see or be a business in Mansfield. This event will encourage and drive aspiration.
Katrina Atherton Director of A Star Media and event partner added: “Being from Mansfield and having a business here I’m always amazed at the brilliant businesses in our area. Having opportunity to see and meet all sorts of businesses is a great way to showcase what’s on offer, share our ideas for the future and create some pride in the area. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Mansfield BID’s Sarah Nelson added: ‘We wanted to get involved in this event to help all the businesses in the town centre have a local point they could pop along to and access any advice or guidance they may need for running or developing their business.
“We also wanted to showcase to all residents of Mansfield what truly fantastic businesses we have throughout the district and encourage them to aspire to either work in Mansfield for these companies or to one day have their own successful business.
“There is no better place to do all this than in the heart of Mansfield - in its beautiful market place in the town centre.”
Cllr Kate Allsop, Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration at Mansfield District Council, said: “We are proud to support the Be, See and Do Business in Mansfield event. The Council is passionate about the business opportunities available in the Mansfield area and we already promote the District as a great place to do business. We urge as many companies as possible to attend the event to find out how they can benefit from the wealth of support on offer and also share their own success stories.”
Estimated footfall is expected to be considerably high as this is part of a week-long event schedule in the town centre plus the event is absolutely free for all to attend – no need to book.
